Wanderlust - Wish We Were Here - Downeast Maine

The Wanderlust club includes a skein of yarn inspired by somewhere we long to visit and a matching stitch marker, made by me! And whatever other goodies that strike my fancy.
My grandma was from Maine, Downeast specifically. She loved her home state, and always felt drawn back to it. I was lucky to get to visit the lobstah state with her a few times and I gotta tell you, I get it. The salty air is invigorating. And, for me, the color palette of hard working people is inspiring. This month's skein will reflect the playful but tough vibe of Downeast Maine. There is so much to see in this area and I can't wait to one day get back there and feel the salt on my skin and to remember my grandma and the place she loved. Until then, I'm excited to add Winter Harbor and Downeast Maine to our yarny Wanderlust bucket list. This month's yarn will be inspired by the lobster buoys (pictured above) that were everywhere, decorating old sheds and garage walls in every town we visited. It's going to be wicked awesome! (had to be done, not sorry!) ha!
Sock - This yarn is perfect not just for socks, but for all kinds of things! It's soft but durable and will stand up to a lot of abuse. It is 4 ply, 75% super wash merino wool and 25% nylon, which gives it it's durability. Each skein is 437 yards and 100 grams.
Sport - This sport is soft and squishy with great bounce and a lovely drape. It is 3 ply, 100% superwash merino wool with 328 yds/100g.
DK - Just like my signature sock yarn, this is a soft but sturdy workhorse yarn. Great for sweaters and hats. It is 4 ply 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon with 245 yds/100g.
Worsted - This stuff is soft and really nice to work with. It's great for colorwork and hardwearing items. It is a 4 ply 100% superwash merino wool in 100 gram skeins with 218 yards.
Chonky - The squish, the twist, the softness! I could go on and on about this beautiful chubby yarn. Great for cowls, hats and super comfy sweaters. It is 3 ply 100% superwash merino wool with106 yds/100g.
These skeins are hand dyed in a smoke free studio with professional acid dyes.
Hand wash your finished project in cold water and lay flat to dry.
Don't be brave. Keep your knit or crocheted items out of the dryer.
