Uluru is an iconic red sandstone rock formation in Australia. It is so big that I'm told you can't comprehend the size until you actually see it and even then it’s overwhelmingly huge. There is nothing like a rock formation with a diameter of almost 6 miles to make you feel your tiny place in the universe. It is a deeply sacred place to the Aboriginal people of the area with stories and knowledge being passed on for centuries. They have been so gracious to allow Uluru to become a tourist destination. I day dream of a months long trip to Australia to see it, and the Great Barrier Reef, Coober Pedy, and Kangaroo Island... I want to see ALL THE KANGAROOS.
This skein will be inspired by Uluru alone, in all its beautiful iron oxide glory.
Sock - This yarn is perfect not just for socks, but for all kinds of things! It's soft but durable and will stand up to a lot of abuse. It is 4 ply, 75% super wash merino wool and 25% nylon, which gives it it's durability. Each skein is 437 yards and 100 grams.
Sport - This sport is soft and squishy with great bounce and a lovely drape. It is 3 ply, 100% superwash merino wool with 328 yds/100g.
DK - Just like my signature sock yarn, this is a soft but sturdy workhorse yarn. Great for sweaters and hats. It is 4 ply 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon with 245 yds/100g.
Worsted - This stuff is soft and really nice to work with. It's great for colorwork and hardwearing items. It is a 4 ply 100% superwash merino wool in 100 gram skeins with 218 yards.
Chonky - The squish, the twist, the softness! I could go on and on about this beautiful chubby yarn. Great for cowls, hats and super comfy sweaters. It is 3 ply 100% superwash merino wool with106 yds/100g.
These skeins are hand dyed in a smoke free studio with professional acid dyes.
Hand wash your finished project in cold water and lay flat to dry.
Don't be brave. Keep your knit or crocheted items out of the dryer.
